Annie was born and raised in the mountains of East Tennessee. She spent her childhood learning and growing at summer camp. Her father, a fellow United Methodist Minister, found his call in camping ministries and was a camp director for the majority of her childhood. After high school, Annie attended Lees-McRae College in Western North Carolina majoring in Psychology with a minor in Performing Arts. While in college, she participated in the Bonner Leaders Program, a community service scholarship program. Being involved in this program, she was instrumental in forming a Girl Scout troop for girls in her local community. After graduation, Annie worked at Lees-McRae College as the Director of the Community Outreach, coordinating the Bonner Leaders Program
Two years ago, Annie moved to Princeton to take a two-year fellowship at the National Bonner Foundation and began attending services at Princeton UMC. Soon she became an active youth advisor. Currently, she is still working at the Bonner Foundation to help sustain and expand its effort to build a national student movement based on community service and social justice.
When not spending time with the youth of PUMC (one of her favorite things), Annie can be found right in town. Stop by for pancakes! She enjoys being involved in her community, being crafty, and exploring the outdoors!
