David Edmonds joined the staff of PUMC as our Director of Music Ministries with his first Sunday on July 27th.
David has been involved in music ministry since 2001, when he began directing his first church choir while a student at the University of Nebraska. After completing his Bachelor's degree in Music Education, David taught high school choral music for six years in Texas. In 2005, he began involvement in the United Methodist Church Music Certification program at Southern Methodist University and for the last three years he has spent two weeks every June at SMU studying theological concepts and music in worship. In addition to his school and church conducting work, David has written several original choral compositions and arrangements, three of which have been published in the last two years. He has also received several commissions for his work.
David and his wife of five years, Aubrey, are excited to be in New Jersey. Aubrey has a degree in Gerontology and is looking forward to continuing her career. David is thrilled to begin work at Princeton UMC and to start a graduate degree at Westminster Choir College this Fall.
