Prayer and meditation keep us connected with God. At Princeton United Methodist Church we believe in praying for one another and the needs of our community, nation and world.
We have a telephone-based Prayer Chain and also an e-mail based Prayer Chain, both of which transmit prayer requests to church members. The chain members promise to pray daily for each request for a period of two weeks and many members also have ongoing lists of people in need of longer support. Prayers of thanksgiving and joy are welcomed in addition to those of supplication. We pray also for our church, our community, nation and needs of the world. You may request those prayers as well. The chains are made up of past and present members of the congregation and always welcome new members.
If you would like us to pray for you, please visit the Contact Us page and send us an e-mail request giving the first name of the person with a brief description of the needs of that person. Your e-mail will go to our Church Office and be given to the Prayer Chains. Chain members believe strongly in the daily power of prayer and are committed to the confidentiality of each prayer request. If you would like to join either the phone or e-mail prayer chains and pray for others, please contact the Church Office (office(at)princetonumc.org).
During our worship service every Sunday we ask for prayer requests from the congregation. Those are also transmitted to the Prayer Chains. In this way we will pray for those needs throughout the week.
Lord, enable us to recognize your voice even when the thunder rumbles and the winds howl. Empower us to trust you in courageous ventures of faith, and rescue us when we doubt. To you all praise and glory, Amen.
