Our Outreach Program

We believe that Outreach is an essential part of our faith and, therefore, among the most important activities at Princeton United Methodist Church. John Wesley believed that Christians could not have authentic personal holiness without social holiness. He said, "I look upon all the world as my parish" and "do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, to all the souls you can, in every place you can, at all the times you can, with all the zeal you can, as long as ever you can."

John Wesley not only preached about works of mercy, he "practiced" what he preached. For example, he lived modestly and gave all he could to people who were poor; visited people in prison and provided spiritual guidance, food and clothing to them; spoke out against slavery and forbade it in Methodism; founded schools; published books, pamphlets and magazines for the education and spiritual edification of people; taught and wrote about good health and even dispensed medicines from his chapels. If you would like to read more about John Wesley's beliefs, please visit this website.

The members of Princeton United Methodist church work to carry on the tradition of John Wesley through gifts of their time, talents and finances to support many local, state, national and international missions.  Please visit the Ministries We Support page to find out more about the ministries we serve.  If you are interested in learning more about our Outreach activities or would like to help please visit the linked pages shown below or contact the Church Office (see the Contact Us page).
