Annually we publicly recognize and commend outstanding efforts made by one or more members of Princeton United Methodist Church in support of the Outreach ministries of the church. For 2008 we honored Daniel S, Executive Director of the United Front Against Riverblindness and Pat H, our webmaster for promoting our church in the community.
NOMINATIONS:
Any member of the congregation may submit a nomination. Nominations should be submitted to the Chair of the Outreach Committee either in the Outreach mail box outside the office or by email to the Church Office. Please submit your nomination by Sunday January 3, 2010. In your nomination please consider the criteria below and note how the nominee's actions have fulfilled some or all of them.
CRITERIA FOR RECOGNITION:
- Nominee's actions taken in to support and in the spirit of the Wesleyan ideal to "Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can."
- Nominee's efforts must be unpaid (however out of pocket expenses may have been reimbursed)
- Level of effort put into the activity(s) will be considered – for example, hours spent, travel undertaken, volunteers coordinated, etc.
- Positive impact of the activity(s) is important – for example, number people helped, qualitative measures of help provided, length of impact of help provided, etc.
- Positive impacts may be physical or spiritual or both.
- Creativity in developing solutions to problems will be considered.
- Nominee may be any member or affiliate member of PUMC with the following exceptions: PUMC staff are not eligible, The Chair of Outreach is not eligible and the Lay Leaders are not eligible.
